Title: 'An Hallelujah in Time of Pandemic' (2021). Size: 44cm x 106cm. Price: $750
In Leonard Cohen's famous song, 'Hallelujah', the baffled and wounded King David lifts up to God a 'cold and broken Hallelujah'. The song is a prayer-like incantation, perhaps offering us hope and perseverance in the face of a cruel, (currently COVID pandemic-stricken) world.
​Cotton, silk synthetic and hand-dyed fabrics; machine-pieced and hand-quilted; cotton batting and backing.

The COVID-19 pandemic made a seismic shift to all plans for 2020. This piece uses visual disruption echo the sense od frustration and disappointment which so many of us experienced. Yet... we pulled together as a society to hold and protect the larger picture. 
Cotton, silk linen and synthetic fabrics and threads with wool/cotton batting and backing, using hand-dyeing, machine-piecing and hand-quilting.

Title: 'When the World Spun Off its Axis' (2020)   Size:  101cm x 69cm  NFS
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world reeled daily at the latest news. In this work, a random dish-mash of appliquéd strips​​ (which carry the names of smitten countries and cities, conveys the chances connections which have spread the virus. The appliquéd strips, which twist and turn, are backed with words which convey feelings of fear, frustration and loss as well as admiration for the bravery and endurance of health workers and other heroes.
